Sirach 44,19-21 is part of the “Eulogy of the Ancestors.” The text understands Abraham and his progeny to be a source of blessing for the nations.[1] It also understands the ‘land’ that Abraham was promised as to extend throughout the entire earth[2] (Sir 44,21).
